The Marist Brothers High School (MBHS) Under-15 rugby team honored the late father of their No.8 player, Senitiki Kuruvakadua, during their 22-7 victory over Gospel High School (GHS) in the Vodafone Deans Trophy semi-finals.
MBHS U15 head coach Jone Temo shared with SUNsports that the team’s success was attributed to divine support. He emphasized the need for improvement in line speed and defense against a formidable Gospel High team during halftime.
Looking ahead to the final, Temo mentioned that strengthening their fitness and conditioning would be essential before facing Suva Grammar School. He noted that most players are already athletes, which contributes to their fitness levels, although a few minor injuries remain that they hope will resolve in time for the championship match.
