Two Juveniles, Ages 15 and 13, Charged on Multiple Counts of Rape in June: ODPP Report Reveals

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has leveled multiple charges of rape and attempted rape against two minors, aged 13 and 15.

According to the June statistics for Rape and Sexual Offences by the ODPP, a 15-year old boy stands accused of raping and attempting to rape a 5-year old girl. In a separate incident, charges of rape have been leveled against a 13-year-old boy, accused of raping a 12-year-old boy.

Throughout June, a total of 15 people were charged with 32 counts of varying sexual offences. The specific charges included 21 accounts of rape, 2 attempted rapes, 4 counts of indecent assault, a single case of defilement, and 4 counts of sexual assault.

The ODPP report cited 15 individuals as accused persons, two of whom are minors. The report also highlighted six instances where the accused and victims were related.
