Turtle Island Resort has provided a new boat to transport students to and from school in the Yasawa Group. The vessel was officially given to the elders of Matacawalevu Village.
According to the resort’s social media announcement, there was a significant demand for a larger boat capable of carrying more students securely, ensuring they remained dry during inclement weather and choppy seas.
The resort highlighted the joy experienced by the students during the boat’s inaugural trip, as they passed by Turtle Island on their way home, wearing their lifejackets with excitement.
Additionally, the resort expressed appreciation for the collaboration with the village chief and the parents’ committee of Matacawalevu.
