The Tui Vuda, Ratu Eparama Tavaiqia, marked his 94th birthday at the Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort in Nadi on Wednesday. The occasion brought together traditional leaders from Vuda, members from chiefly families, and villagers from Viseisei to celebrate his remarkable life and leadership, now in its 14th year.
Expressing his gratitude, Tui Vuda remarked on the blessing of reaching this milestone. “I thank God for giving me life that I can be here and celebrate my birthday with you today,” he said. He also shared his appreciation for the support and love he has received throughout his life and leadership.
Ratu Meli Tora, his spokesperson, highlighted that Tui Vuda is the oldest living iTaukei paramount chief, wishing for continued blessings upon his life, leadership, and community.
