Tribute to a Printing Pioneer: Remembering Diwan Chand Maharaj

Diwan Chand Maharaj, the founder of Quality Print PTE Limited, was remembered as a “true friend to many” and a “dedicated professional” in the printing industry during his funeral service at Dignified Crematorium. The tribute was delivered by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, who recognized Mr. Maharaj’s significant contributions to both the business and community sectors.

Mr. Maharaj established Quality Print in 1982, leading the company for over forty years and helping it become a prominent name in Fiji’s printing landscape, known for its commitment to quality and innovation. His passing signifies the end of a remarkable era for the company, which greatly influenced the local industry and supported various businesses.

In addition to his ventures in printing, Mr. Maharaj co-founded Sun Insurance PTE Limited in 1999 and was instrumental in establishing the Kidney Foundation of Fiji. He was not only a successful entrepreneur but also a passionate community leader. His involvement in charitable organizations and leadership roles within the Rotary Club and the Sanatan Dharam Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji showcased his dedication to helping others.

Prime Minister Rabuka highlighted Mr. Maharaj’s virtues of love and friendship, suggesting that these values are essential for society. He concluded with a heartfelt farewell, wishing peace for Mr. Maharaj’s soul.
