Triad of Suspects to Face Court Over Notorious Aggravated Robbery

Three individuals are set to appear in a special court hearing today, facing multiple charges linked to an aggravated robbery incident that occurred last month. The men, aged 36, 37, and 40, are accused of stealing a vehicle that was subsequently used in a robbery at the Lalita Bhindi sub-division in Vatuwaqa. During this robbery, they allegedly took a safe along with various electronic items belonging to a local businessman.

Following the incident, dedicated teams from the Southern Division and Samabula task forces have been diligently tracking leads that ultimately led to the apprehension of the suspects from Raiwaqa earlier this week. Each of the three men faces a series of serious charges, including criminal trespass, aiding and abetting theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, aiding and abetting aggravated burglary, aiding and abetting aggravated robbery, and serious assault.

They will be presented before the Suva Magistrates Court for proceedings.
