Transforming Lives: Vodafone Foundation’s Impactful Contribution

The Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation, dedicated to uplifting, empowering, and enriching the lives of those they serve, made a significant impact at their 5th Multidisciplinary (Pacific) Conference.

Held at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa yesterday, the foundation awarded $141,500 to 14 charities.

In a major milestone for their organization, the foundation has announced substantial growth and impact over recent years. The foundation now boasts a robust network comprising 10 impactful programs, which collectively support 100 charities each year.

Together, they have invested a staggering $50 million in social services, forging enduring partnerships with 1000 program charity partners and an extensive network of collaborators.

Their efforts have fostered lasting partnerships with these charity partners and a broad network of collaborators.

They have worked with over 2000 charity organizations, reaching 800 villages and supporting 400 schools with direct grants totaling $12 million.

Foundation chairman Lionel Yee stated that each grant, partnership, and initiative has been guided by a single mission.

“The mission is to uplift, empower, and enrich the lives of those we serve,” he said.

Amalgamated Telecomm Holdings Group of Companies chief executive officer Ivan Fong was the chief guest at the 5th Multidisciplinary (Pacific) Conference.

This year’s conference theme, “Catalysing Vitality: Innovations and Insights for Sustainable Wellbeing,” highlights the integration of technology, legal frameworks, educational strategies, and community engagement to address complex health and societal challenges.

Mr. Fong outlined several objectives of the conference.

“The objectives were to identify and explore issues in our communities here locally as well as in the Pacific. Through the exchange of ideas, we aim to come up with solutions.”

“Enhance digital connectivity, explore and implement digital solutions, social media strategies, and emerging AI technologies to boost connectivity and efficiency among Pacific NGOs,” he added.
