His tenure has been characterized by a strong commitment to shielding consumers from unfair business tactics by effectively enforcing competition and consumer protection regulations.

Under his leadership, the FCCC has significantly increased its capacity and effectiveness, gaining both national and international acclaim as a reliable competition authority. His recent initiatives included the establishment of the Pacific Islands Network of Competition, Consumer Protection, and Economic Regulators (PINCCER), which has fostered regional collaboration and improved regulatory standards throughout the Pacific.

Mr. Abraham also championed various employee-oriented initiatives, such as the iCARE program, sustainability packages, and flexible work arrangements. His leadership has led to major advancements in the FCCC’s infrastructure and resource management, laying the groundwork for a modern, impactful regulatory body.

The FCCC noted that Mr. Abraham’s vision and dedication have resulted in numerous accolades for the commission, including the Fiji Business Excellence Awards and the National Green Sustainability Award, thereby solidifying its status as a preeminent regulatory organization in the region.
