A man in his 20s has tragically died from burn injuries sustained in a fire while working on a yacht in Nadi on Monday, according to the Fiji Police Force. The incident occurred when the victim was performing maintenance on a yacht in Denarau alongside a 24-year-old coworker. It is reported that an explosion occurred in the engine compartment, leading to burns for both individuals. They were initially taken to Nadi Hospital and later transferred to Lautoka Aspen Hospital, where the victim passed away the following night. The 24-year-old remains hospitalized in critical condition. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
