A man in his 20s has died from burn injuries sustained in a fire while working on a yacht in Nadi, according to the Fiji Police Force. The incident occurred on Monday when the victim was performing maintenance on a yacht in Denarau alongside a 24-year-old coworker. Reports indicate that an explosion occurred in the engine compartment, resulting in burns for both individuals. They were initially taken to Nadi Hospital and later transferred to Lautoka Aspen Hospital, where the victim succumbed to his injuries last night. The 24-year-old remains hospitalized in critical condition. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
