Prominent chef and restaurant owner Lance Seeto was found dead at his home in Suva today. Acting Divisional Police Commander Central Isoa Natui confirmed that Seeto’s body was discovered on Clarke Street this morning. The details surrounding his death remain unclear at this time.
The police received a report from a colleague who visited Seeto’s residence after multiple unsuccessful attempts to reach him. Upon arrival, the colleague found Seeto unresponsive and promptly alerted law enforcement.
Crime Scene Investigations Unit officers were dispatched to the location to undertake the initial investigation.
Lance Seeto was celebrated as a figurehead in South Pacific cuisine and collaborated with tourism partners to establish Fiji as an emerging culinary destination. His television series, “Taste of Paradise,” was a finalist in the 2016 Asia Broadcasting Union awards.
