A 19-year-old woman tragically lost her life in a road accident in Lautoka during the early hours of the morning. The victim was one of four passengers in a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old, who reportedly lost control while traveling along Queens Road near Navutu. This caused the vehicle to veer off the road and collide with a post. The woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene, while the driver and three other passengers were rushed to Lautoka Aspen Hospital, where they are being treated for serious injuries. The national road death toll currently stands at 42, a decrease from 63 reported during the same period last year.
