A tragic car accident in Lautoka this morning has resulted in the death of a woman. According to SSP Mitieli Divuana, the Director of Traffic, the victim was driving on M.N Naidu Road when she lost control of her vehicle, which then veered off the road and collided with a tree. The incident took place shortly after 8 AM.
Emergency personnel transported the woman to Lautoka Hospital; however, she unfortunately succumbed to her injuries. SSP Divuana mentioned that a post-mortem examination will be conducted to establish the exact cause of death. Investigations into the circumstances of the accident are currently underway.
