A businessman from Martintar, Nadi, tragically drowned in the Mamanuca Group waters two weeks ago, leaving his family seeking answers. Zou Fan, 52, fondly known as Andy, was an executive at Fabulous Holiday and is remembered for his joyful spirit and kindness.

His son, Zou Junjie, expressed deep sorrow over his father’s passing, stating, “He was a very happy and kind man, always smiling and making those around him feel cherished and loved.” Mr. Zou remarked on the circumstances of the incident, revealing that his father was leading a group of 80 Chinese tourists to explore the Malamala Beach Club before going snorkeling.

According to Zou Junjie, a couple from New Zealand found his father’s body while snorkeling. He shared that after a period of his father being unaccounted for, the distressing news emerged. Brad Rutherford, the CEO of South Sea Cruises, acknowledged the tragic event and highlighted that while there was awareness of a death, the exact cause is still to be confirmed as they await results from an autopsy.
