Motorists experienced significant delays at Nadi International Airport yesterday due to a vehicle fire. According to police spokesperson Constable Wame Batutolu, the incident occurred around 10:30 AM when two vehicles collided. The driver of a vehicle traveling towards Lautoka failed to yield to another vehicle turning at the roundabout leading to the airport, resulting in the fire. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.
It was noted that the traffic lights in the area have been malfunctioning for some time, with traffic control being managed by cones. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
