Labasa’s head coach, Ravneel Pratap, announced that the prize money earned from the inter-district competition will be distributed among the players. He mentioned that the team’s president, Rayaz Khan, along with other officials, is currently developing a plan for the distribution.
“Every year when we win a tournament, our president has insisted that none of it is kept,” Mr. Pratap stated. “They always ensure it is shared among the players and officials, and this year, they have again committed to distributing it to the players.”
Pratap highlighted that this practice has been a long-standing tradition with the current leadership team. He emphasized the importance of teamwork and mutual trust in achieving their goals, stating, “Our focus has always been on winning.”
He expressed gratitude to their supporters who turned out in large numbers for the celebration. “I would also like to extend my thanks to everyone involved in today’s festivities, particularly to Extra, our main sponsor. It’s a wonderful feeling to have all the fans celebrate with us.”
Pratap noted that the victory serves as a point of pride not only for the team but also for the wider community in the North.
