Three men have been remanded by Suva’s Magistrates Court following serious charges related to drug possession and assault. Lemeki Baleiwai, aged 29, Maciu Jiuta, 27, and Asaeli Susewa, 23, appeared before Resident Magistrate Sufia Hamza to face these allegations.
Baleiwai is specifically charged with one count of possessing illicit drugs, having been discovered with marijuana on November 18, 2024. Jiuta and Susewa are facing charges for their involvement in a serious assault against two police officers during a raid linked to the drug investigation.
