Three individuals are set to appear in a special court session today, facing charges related to an aggravated robbery that took place last month. The men are accused of stealing a vehicle, which they allegedly used in the robbery at the Lalita Bhindi sub-division in Vatuwaqa. During this incident, they reportedly stole a safe along with various electronic items that belonged to a local businessman.
Since the crime was reported, the Southern Division and Samabula task forces have diligently pursued several leads that ultimately led to the arrests of the suspects this week in Raiwaqa. The accused, aged 36, 37, and 40, are charged with multiple offenses, including criminal trespass, aiding and abetting theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, aiding and abetting aggravated burglary, aiding and abetting aggravated robbery, and serious assault.
They will be brought before the Suva Magistrates Court for their hearing, marking a critical step in the pursuit of justice for the victims involved.
