Three men are currently in police custody in connection with a deadly stabbing incident that occurred early yesterday at Batinivuriwai Settlement in Wainunu, Bua. According to police reports, the victim was reportedly involved in a dispute at the settlement’s bus shelter prior to the incident. Following the altercation, he was discovered lying near the roadside with a stab wound to his chest.
Emergency services rushed the victim to the Wainunu Health Centre; however, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Authorities are actively gathering statements from local residents as they continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
