FLICK Hygiene Services has secured a government contract to initiate a termite baiting program targeting Asian Subterranean Termites in Lautoka, set to commence later this month.
Sashi Kiran, co-chairperson of the Termite Taskforce, announced that the company’s staff will be visiting homes that have reported termite infestations and are part of the government grant initiative.
“We encourage homeowners to participate in the baiting program and to verify the identification of anyone entering their homes for this service,” Kiran stated.
She added that Flick Hygiene Services will evaluate the extent of the damage and the presence of active termite colonies in each residence.
The baiting program will involve identifying and treating these colonies, with a minimum of three follow-up visits to ensure the eradication of pests affecting the homes.
Kiran also mentioned that all data and images collected during the process will be compiled into reports on the pilot project being implemented in Lautoka.
