Flick Hygiene’s executive director, Mohammed Zakariah, has expressed optimism about addressing the termite problems faced in Fiji. The pest management firm, located in Lautoka, recently observed the successful results of its initial termite baiting system installed at a property in Lovu.

Zakariah was pleased with the testing outcomes and emphasized their commitment to tackling the termite issue effectively. “We are excited to see favorable results and are eager to yield more successful outcomes,” he stated.

The process to eliminate the entire termite colony is expected to take approximately eight weeks. “We conduct follow-up visits every two weeks to replenish the bait,” Zakariah explained. He noted that the worker termites were showing signs of dying off, while the soldier termites would also meet the same fate.

The bait system plays a vital role in connecting the underground termite colony, allowing them to take the poison back to their queen. Zakariah assured that the bait would guarantee complete eradication of the colony within the eight-week timeframe.

This proactive approach offers a hopeful solution for property owners dealing with termite infestations, showcasing how effective pest management techniques can significantly improve living conditions.

In summary, the implementation of this termite baiting system in Fiji marks a promising step towards solving an ongoing pest issue, with a clear timeline for complete colony elimination.
