FLICK Hygiene Services has secured a government contract to launch a termite baiting program targeting Asian Subterranean Termites in Lautoka later this month.
Sashi Kiran, co-chairperson of the Termite Taskforce, announced that company staff will visit homes that have reported termite infestations and are participants in the government’s grant initiative.
“We encourage homeowners to be present during the baiting program and to verify the identification of anyone entering their homes for these services,” Ms. Kiran emphasized.
Flick Hygiene Services will evaluate the extent of damage and identify active termite colonies within each property.
The baiting process will involve locating the colonies and administering bait, with a minimum of three follow-up visits to ensure that the infestations are fully eradicated.
Ms. Kiran noted that all collected data and images will be compiled to create reports on this pilot project being conducted in Lautoka.
