Residents in the Labasa area should be aware of temporary road closures scheduled for Monday, October 7, and Thursday, October 10. Senior Superintendent of Police Kasiano Vusonilawe, Director of Operations for the Fiji Police Force, announced that these closures are necessary for the preparations of the Fiji Day celebrations.
On October 7, the roads at the junctions of Y-corner and Park Street will close at 9 AM to facilitate a dry run for the celebrations. On October 10, the same roads will be closed starting at 6 AM for the actual celebration day.
The Fiji Police Force requests the public’s patience and understanding during these times. Traffic officers will be present to help manage the flow of traffic.
