Tee Off for Charity: Join the Caritas Fiji Golf Day!

The Caritas Fiji Golf Day, organized by the charitable wing of the Catholic Church of Fiji, is scheduled to be held at the prestigious Denarau Golf Club on November 2.

Arthur Groome, the director of Caritas, announced that registrations are still open for this charitable competition, which promises a delightful day for all participants.

Groome stated, “With the theme of ‘Christmas in November,’ this year’s event will provide a day filled with golf, camaraderie, and an opportunity to give back.” He emphasized that it is a great chance for both experienced golfers and newcomers to have fun, make a positive contribution, and enjoy the company of friends and colleagues.

The funds raised from last year’s event were directed towards the Church’s charitable initiatives, benefiting schools, community groups, and other beneficiaries within the Caritas Society.

Notably, contributions helped fund repair works at Saint Agnes Primary School in Samabula, improving the school facilities and preparing the building to serve as an evacuation center during disasters for residents of Suva Nabua and Samabula East.

Groome expressed gratitude towards the public for their generosity and to the participants for their support, which allows Caritas to aid those in need now and in the future. He also extended thanks to sponsors and donors for their contributions, which enable the organization to host this event and continue its mission of helping others.
