A total of 395 teachers who have enhanced their qualifications are set to receive 50 percent of their salary upgrade shortly, with the remaining 50 percent scheduled to be distributed in January 2025. This announcement was made by Aseri Radrodro, the Minister for Education, during the Fiji Teachers Registration Authority Annual Congress held in Nadi.
Additionally, Radrodro announced that 103 Assistant Principals will receive an increase in their salary bands, which will provide a clearer distinction from Heads of Departments. He expressed gratitude to the teachers for their dedication in improving their professional qualifications, emphasizing the importance of their continuous professional development not only in teaching but also in management and other educational areas.
The congress is ongoing in Nadi today, highlighting the government’s commitment to the professional growth of educators.
