Kishore Kumar, a suspended teacher, is seeking the expertise of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) specialist to validate the authenticity of an adult video that allegedly features politician Lenora Qereqeretabua. Kumar stands accused of making false claims regarding the video and had a hearing before Magistrate Seini Puamau last Friday.
During the proceedings, Kumar presented the controversial video as evidence, which was reviewed in the magistrate’s chambers. However, the State opposed its use, arguing that the footage was altered. In response, Kumar requested that the court engage an AI expert for a professional evaluation of the video’s legitimacy, mentioning that he considered himself knowledgeable in the area of AI.
Magistrate Puamau instructed Kumar to provide credible evidence of his expertise in artificial intelligence. She indicated that a decision regarding the admissibility of the video would follow after the court hears from both sides and potential witnesses.
Consequently, the video will not be displayed until Kumar’s administrative concerns are addressed. He is facing charges of indecently annoying an individual and criminal intimidation, and he is representing himself in the matter. The hearing is ongoing.
