The KGW-sponsored Tavualevu men’s netball team made a triumphant return to the court by participating in the Salad Bowl netball festival yesterday. This event marks a significant milestone for the team, which returned to netball earlier this year after a five-year hiatus.
Team captain Niko Tawake shared the team’s excitement about being back in action for this one-day tournament. “We are happy to be back after five years and to come and participate in this competition. The boys were excited to participate,” Tawake remarked.
Their return to the netball scene has been impressive, as they secured the runner-up position in the Western Rally held in Lautoka just two months prior. Their performance at the Salad Bowl Festival further highlights their renewed commitment and competitive spirit.
