The KGW-sponsored Tavualevu men’s netball team made a strong comeback to the sport, participating in the Salad Bowl netball festival yesterday. This event signifies an important milestone for the team, which returned to playing earlier this year after a five-year hiatus.
Team captain Niko Tawake shared the enthusiasm of his teammates as they engaged in the one-day tournament. “We are happy to be back after five years and to participate in this competition. The boys were excited to take part,” Tawake stated.
The team’s comeback has been impressive, finishing as runners-up in the Western Rally held in Lautoka just two months prior. Their performance at the Salad Bowl Festival highlighted their renewed dedication and competitive drive.
