Labasa football team goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau has made the cut for the Fiji Bulaboys squad. Tamanisau played a crucial role in leading the Babasiga Lions to victory in the FMF IDC and was awarded the Golden Glove for his performance.

Coach Rob Sherman has announced a 29-member roster for the Fiji National Football Team as they prepare for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Oceania Qualifiers. Alongside Tamanisau, striker Christopher Wasa-sala and defender Sekove Nai-vaka-nanumi have also been included, both of whom excelled during the FMF IDC.

The squad features several international players, including Stafford Rangers defender Scott Wara and Charlton Athletic defender Josh Qereqeretabua. Additionally, Nadi FC goalkeeper Joela Biu-vanua has received a call-up.

The team will commence training on Sunday at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba as they gear up for the upcoming qualifiers. The Fiji Bulaboys are scheduled to face Papua New Guinea in their next match in Port Moresby next month.
