Sydney Suva triumphed over Labasa with a score of 2-0 in an exciting final at the Rams Group of Companies 10th Sanatan World Cup.

Young player Marcus Lal got the scoring started for Suva early in the match, although he later missed a penalty opportunity. Despite efforts from brothers Anish Khem and Ashnil Raju to bring the Babasiga Lions back into contention, Sydney’s defense, featuring goalkeeper Jerome Narayan, Krishneel Dutt, and Kishan Sami, held strong.

The victory was secured when former Nadi striker Shivneel Pillay scored a brilliant goal midway through the second half. Labasa’s situation worsened as Melvin Mani was sent off, leaving them with ten players.

In individual awards, Narayan earned the Golden Glove, Lal received the Golden Boot for scoring seven goals throughout the tournament, and Pranit Singh was honored as the Most Valuable Player. Additionally, Sydney Suva was recognized as the Best Disciplined Team.
