Vijay Madhavan, the former president of the Senior Golf Association, is hopeful about enhancing his golfing skills. He is currently participating in the 42nd Swire Shipping Fiji Senior Golf Association Open at the Fiji Golf Club in Vatuwaqa. Although he has faced difficulties in his performance, Madhavan is determined to focus on improving his short game.
“My personal performance hasn’t been as good as I hoped, especially with my chipping,” he remarked. “It’s something that I’m really concentrating on because it’s crucial in a competitive round like this.”
Madhavan noted that the dry weather conditions have been favorable for the tournament, providing some relief to the competitors. “The weather has been consistently good since the first day. The course has dried out, making it easier for us to play,” he stated.
He expressed gratitude towards Swire Shipping for their significant contribution to organizing this esteemed event. Looking forward, Madhavan is dedicated to enhancing his focus and practice over the remaining rounds.
“After yesterday’s performance, I’ve tried to concentrate more on improving my shots,” he added. Madhavan emphasized that golf requires consistent practice and added that it is more thrilling than many realize.
The tournament is set to conclude tomorrow.
