The Caritas Fiji Golf Day, organized by the charitable wing of the Catholic Church of Fiji, is set to take place next month at the prestigious Denarau Golf Club in Nadi.
This annual event, themed “Christmas in November,” promises a day of golf, community spirit, and philanthropy. Ioane Sigarara, the Episcopal Vicar of Caritas Fiji, announced that the competition will follow a four-person Scramble (Ambrose) format, which aims to blend competitiveness with enjoyment for all attendees.
Fiji Airways has stepped up as a major sponsor, offering a round-trip to San Francisco as a prize for the winning team, which adds an exciting incentive to the contest. In addition, numerous other fantastic prizes will be available to ensure that every participant has the chance to win something.
Following the golf, participants can look forward to a tasty late lunch at the Denarau Golf Club, where the prize-giving ceremony will also occur.
“All proceeds from the Caritas Fiji Golf Day will support the charity’s important work in the community,” Sigarara stated. He emphasized that whether one is a seasoned golfer or a newcomer, the event provides a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a great day while making a positive difference and spending time with friends and colleagues.
The event is scheduled for November 2.
