The Caritas Fiji Golf Day, organized by the charitable branch of the Catholic Church of Fiji, is scheduled for next month at the prestigious Denarau Golf Club in Nadi.
This annual event, titled “Christmas in November,” promises a full day of golf, community spirit, and charitable endeavors. Ioane Sigarara, the Episcopal Vicar of Caritas Fiji, shared that the competition will be held in a team of four Scramble (Ambrose) format, designed to balance competitiveness with enjoyment for all players.
Fiji Airways has generously donated a significant prize for the winning team—a round-trip ticket to San Francisco—bringing additional excitement to the event. Other attractive prizes will also be up for grabs, giving every golfer a chance to win something.
After the golfing activities, participants can savor a late lunch at the Denarau Golf Club, where the prize-giving ceremony will also be conducted.
Sigarara emphasized that all proceeds from the Caritas Fiji Golf Day will go towards supporting the charity’s essential work in the community. “This event is a wonderful opportunity for both seasoned golfers and beginners to have fun, contribute positively, and enjoy a day out with friends and colleagues,” he noted.
The event is set to take place on November 2.
