South African Stephen Swanepoel has emerged as the amateur champion at the Coastal Rental Natadola Open Golf 2024. He clinched the title with a score of 76, finishing ahead of Melbourne-based competitor Adish Kumar, who took second place.
In the professional category, Roneel Parkash, assistant manager at Denarau Golf Club, secured victory against Sam Lee, who is currently residing in South Korea. Parkash expressed his excitement, stating, “Good feeling going back to Natadola Bay. Fiji Open next.”
Avinesh Datt, the manager of Natadola Golf course, noted that the weather was perfect for the tournament and expressed gratitude to all sponsors for contributing to the event’s success. He assured that next year’s event will be even more impressive, thanking the ground staff for maintaining the course in excellent condition along with the clubhouse and pro-shop staff for their hard work.
In addition to the main awards, several other categories were recognized. Suruj Maharaj took home the Men’s Overall Nett title with a score of 69, while Jack Butler was the Men’s A Grade winner with 72. Ben Herter secured the Men’s B Grade at 71, and Rajeev Patel won the Men’s C Grade with a score of 76. In the women’s categories, Amy Subam was the Ladies Gross Winner with 93, and Susie Yee won the Ladies Overall Nett with 86.
