SGS established an early lead, scoring a converted try in the first quarter. LMS responded swiftly, equalizing with a converted try of their own. However, SGS quickly regained the advantage with another try in the 16th minute, taking a 12-7 lead.
By halftime, SGS had increased their advantage to 19-7 following a successful try and conversion. In the second half, SGS maintained their dominance, despite having a try disallowed. They pushed forward, adding another try to extend their lead to 24-7. LMS managed to score again, narrowing the score to 24-12, but SGS put the game away with a final try and conversion in the closing minutes, concluding the match at 29-12.
