The game began with Suva Grammar School establishing an early advantage by scoring a converted try, taking a 7-0 lead. Marist Brothers High School quickly answered back with a magnificent try, leveling the score at 7-all.
In the 18th minute, MBHS moved ahead with another converted try, leading at 14-7. However, Suva Grammar rallied, responding with a try and conversion to tie the game at 14-all.
Marist Brothers then took the lead again with an unconverted try, making it 19-14. Suva Grammar quickly leveled the score once more with another try before halftime, resulting in a 19-all tie at the break.
The second half saw MBHS scoring an unconverted try in the 7th minute, putting them in front at 24-19. Yet, Suva Grammar was not finished. They managed to score a converted try in the 11th minute, regaining the lead at 26-24.
In the closing moments of the match, Suva Grammar School clinched their victory with another converted try, finalizing the score at 31-24.
