Suva Faces Goalkeeper Crisis Ahead of Key Match

Suva is facing injury challenges as they gear up for their final pool match against Taveuni in the ongoing primary schools inter-district competition in Labasa. Coach Mohammed Hussain emphasized the need to focus on their reserve goalkeeper to improve their chances of success in the upcoming game.

“Our goalkeeper is injured,” Hussain noted. Despite this challenge, he expressed optimism that the team would still qualify for the finals. “We will come back stronger in our next game against Taveuni,” he said.

Hussain acknowledged the necessity of strengthening their defense, which has been a concern in recent matches. “We will go back to the drawing board to analyze our previous games and identify areas to address our mistakes,” he mentioned.

He also pointed out that the change in weather patterns has impacted the players’ performance, as they adapt to the warm conditions of Babasiga.

In their most recent encounter, Suva achieved a narrow 1-0 victory over Navua and played to a 1-1 draw with Labasa.
