Police have not received any reports regarding an incident of sexual harassment believed to have occurred during the crowning night of the recent Hibiscus Festival in Suva.
According to police spokesperson Ana Naisoro, no complaints have been filed by either the festival organizers or the Suva Town Council. There are allegations that a contestant was sexually harassed by a man who was reportedly intoxicated during the event.
Inquiries have been directed to Tevita Boseiwaqa, Chair of Administrators for the Suva Town Council, as well as Local Government Minister Maciu Nalumisa.
