Strengthening Ties: Indonesia’s Ambassador Visits Fiji’s Parliament

The Indonesian Ambassador Dupito Simamora was received in Parliament this week by the Speaker of the House, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu. Ratu Naiqama praised the Indonesian government for its contributions to the Pacific region, noting, “They are well known for MMSE, and they are significantly advanced in that area. There is much to learn from Indonesia.” He highlighted Indonesia’s vast population of nearly 300 million, calling it a substantial market and expressing curiosity about their advancements across various sectors, including military and police development. Ratu Naiqama expressed the desire to strengthen Fiji’s relationship with Indonesia.
