Divisional Police Commander West, SSP Iakobo Vaisewa, has urged officers to either enhance their performance or resign if they are unable to meet the demands of their roles. This warning was delivered during the fourth quarter divisional parade last week, addressing officers from Rakiraki to Sigatoka.
SSP Vaisewa emphasized the importance of addressing complaints by adhering strictly to established processes and procedures. He insisted that every report must be treated with equal seriousness and that proper guidance should be provided to those filing complaints to ensure their satisfaction.
“No report should be taken lightly, and we must ensure that we give the proper advice to complainants so they feel satisfied,” SSP Vaisewa stated.
Furthermore, he reiterated the Acting Commissioner’s zero-tolerance stance regarding officers engaged in criminal activities, indicating that any officer found to misuse their uniform for personal gain through illegal activities would face appropriate repercussions.
