The Cabinet has granted approval for a 12-month Waiver of Interest on state lease arrears, which will take effect from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025. Throughout this waiver period, lessees are required to settle their rent arrears in full while being exempt from paying any interest that has accumulated on these debts. This is the fourth such waiver, following similar measures taken in 2014-2016, 2018, and 2020-2021.
