Around 200 individuals gathered at Nadi International Airport yesterday to greet the internationally recognized spiritual and humanitarian leader, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
He established the Art of Living Foundation in 1981, which has since delivered spiritual teachings to over 500 million people across 180 nations.
During his visit, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar plans to engage with devotees and followers while holding discussions with national leaders.
Hari Punja, Chairman of Art of Living Fiji, stated that the Gurudev’s visit aims to share his message of peace, well-being, and service to humanity. “His teachings have touched millions worldwide, inspiring them to live with compassion, mindfulness, and a sense of community,” he remarked.
Rekha Khunteta, the international director for the Art of Living Foundation, highlighted that Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s efforts in promoting global peace, conflict resolution, and human values have garnered him numerous accolades.
Yesterday, the spiritual leader conducted a Laxmi Havan at Churchill Park in Lautoka and is scheduled to meet President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere today.
Additionally, he will participate in a cultural and wisdom evening at the Vodafone Arena tomorrow (Sunday), and on Monday, he will hold a session with students from the University of the South Pacific.
