Spread Christmas Cheer: A Call to Action from Christian Leaders

Spread the love

The Christian Mission Fellowship International (CMFI) is calling on families to embody the spirit of Christmas by reaching out to those in need. In a heartfelt Christmas message, Reverend Suliasi Kurulo, the President and Founder of CMFI, emphasized the importance of sharing love and compassion, inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Reverend Kurulo urged families to “bring hope to someone who is hurting, comfort to someone who is grieving, and joy to someone who feels forgotten.” He highlighted the importance of being a source of light in the world, reflecting the love and heart of Jesus in all actions.

As Christians gather to celebrate the birth of Jesus, Reverend Kurulo acknowledged that, while this season is filled with joy, it may also trigger moments of reflection and sadness, especially for those who have faced loss or hardship. He reassured everyone that the birth of Christ symbolizes God’s presence among us, providing hope even in the darkest times. Quoting Isaiah 61:1-3, Reverend Kurulo reminded the faithful that Jesus came to heal the broken-hearted and offer hope.

Referencing the angel’s proclamation over 2,000 years ago, he reiterated the significance of this celebration—not merely as the birth of a child but as the arrival of a Savior who brings healing and hope. He also expressed gratitude to the CMFI family worldwide for their dedication to spreading the gospel through various means, including missions, church planting, and community outreach.

Wishing families across Fiji a blessed Christmas filled with peace and a new year rich with God’s favor, Reverend Kurulo expressed hope for 2025 to be a year where God’s glory is revealed in extraordinary ways.

In this season of giving and reflection, the message serves as a reminder of the power of compassion and the communal call to support one another. As families come together during the holidays, the sentiments shared by Reverend Kurulo encourage communities to uplift those who may be struggling and to celebrate not just in joy, but also in unity and love.
