Around 200 individuals gathered at Nadi International Airport yesterday to greet renowned spiritual and humanitarian leader, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. He established the Art of Living Foundation in 1981, which has disseminated spiritual teachings to over 500 million people across 180 countries.
During his visit, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar plans to meet with devotees and followers, as well as engage in discussions with national leaders. Hari Punja, Chairman of Art of Living Fiji, stated that the Guru is in Fiji to impart his message of peace, wellness, and service to humanity. Punja emphasized that Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s teachings have influenced millions globally, encouraging them to embrace compassion, mindfulness, and a sense of community.
Rekha Khunteta, the international director for the Art of Living Foundation, noted that Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s efforts toward global peace, conflict resolution, and the promotion of human values have earned him numerous accolades.
The spiritual leader conducted a Laxmi Havan at Churchill Park in Lautoka yesterday and is scheduled to meet with President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere today. He will also participate in a cultural and wisdom evening at the Vodafone Arena tomorrow, and on Monday, he will hold a session with students at the University of the South Pacific.
