Around 200 individuals gathered at Nadi International Airport yesterday to greet renowned spiritual and humanitarian figure Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
The founder of the Art of Living Foundation in 1981, he has imparted spiritual teachings that have reached more than 500 million people across 180 nations. During his visit, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar intends to engage with devotees and followers while also holding discussions with national leaders.
Hari Punja, Chairman of Art of Living Fiji, expressed that the Gurudev is in Fiji to share his messages of peace, well-being, and service to humanity. He noted, “His teachings have touched millions worldwide, inspiring them to live with compassion, mindfulness, and a sense of community.”
Rekha Khunteta, the international director for the Art of Living Foundation, highlighted that Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s efforts in promoting global peace, conflict resolution, and human values have earned him numerous accolades.
Yesterday, the spiritual leader conducted a Laxmi Havan ceremony at Churchill Park in Lautoka, and today he is set to meet with President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere. He will also participate in a cultural and wisdom evening at the Vodafone Arena tomorrow (Sunday) and will engage with USP students on Monday.
