Globally respected spiritual and humanitarian leader, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, is scheduled to visit Fiji from October 25 to 28. He established the Art of Living Foundation in 1981, through which he has shared spiritual teachings that have impacted over 500 million people in 180 countries.
Rekha Khunteta, the international director of the Art of Living Foundation, highlighted, “Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s contributions to global peace, conflict resolution, and the promotion of human values have earned him numerous accolades.” She noted that his philosophy breaks through traditional barriers that often create divisions in societies, fostering unity and shared human values among diverse individuals.
His visit is expected to enhance the wellbeing of the country. On October 25, he will perform a Laxmi Havan at Churchill Park and will have a meeting with the President of Fiji, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, on October 26. A cultural and wisdom evening is scheduled for October 27 at the Vodafone Arena, followed by an interaction session with students from the University of the South Pacific on October 28.
