South Pacific Business Development (SPBD), a prominent entity in Fiji’s microfinance sector, has officially relocated its Labasa office to a new site along the main road of Labasa Town. This move is part of a strategic initiative to enhance visibility and accessibility for clients and stakeholders, as stated by SPBD Fiji’s managing director, Elrico Munoz.
“The new location will be more accessible for our customers, this is the main reason we moved,” Munoz explained. The organization invested approximately $2,000 into setting up the new Labasa office, which began operations yesterday.
The team remains unchanged, consisting of three field officers referred to as center managers who will visit various villages, along with one back-office staff member. Munoz expressed optimism that the relocation would lead to greater outreach and increased business opportunities. “At the back road, nobody would really visit our office,” he noted, highlighting the advantages of the new location in attracting more clients.
Previously, the SPBD office was situated on the back road of Sangam Avenue.
