South Pacific Business Development (SPBD), a prominent entity in Fiji’s microfinance sector, has officially relocated its Labasa office to a new site along the main road of Labasa Town. This move is part of a strategic initiative to enhance the visibility and accessibility for clients and stakeholders, as stated by Elrico Munoz, managing director of SPBD Fiji.
Munoz highlighted that the primary reason for the relocation was to improve accessibility for their customers. Approximately $2,000 was invested in setting up the new office, which opened its doors yesterday.
The team remains largely the same, consisting of three field officers known as center managers who will travel to various villages, along with one back office staff member. Munoz expressed optimism that the relocation would lead to increased outreach and business opportunities, noting that the previous location on the back road did not attract many visitors.
The former office was situated on the back road of Sangam Avenue.
