South Pacific Business Development (SPBD), a prominent microfinance entity in Fiji, has relocated its Labasa office to a new site along the main road in Labasa Town. This move is part of a strategic initiative to enhance visibility and accessibility for clients and stakeholders, as stated by SPBD Fiji’s managing director, Elrico Munoz.

“We chose this new location to improve accessibility for our customers, which is the primary reason for our move,” Munoz explained. The investment for the new office was approximately $2,000, and it officially opened its doors yesterday.

The team remains largely unchanged, consisting of three field officers, referred to as center managers, who will visit various villages, along with one back office staff member. Munoz expressed expectations of increased outreach due to the relocation. “This will lead to more business opportunities. The previous location on the back road saw limited visitor traffic to our office,” he noted.

The former SPBD office was situated at the back road of Sangam Avenue.
