Police in the Southern Division swiftly arrested two men suspected of involvement in two separate robbery incidents. The first suspect was apprehended after officers responded to a report of a robbery in Vatuwaqa, where a group had stolen a safe and various electronic items from a business in the Lalita Bhindi Sub-Division. Following the alert, the task force quickly located and arrested one suspect.
In another incident, a woman was reportedly robbed while walking along Gaji Road late Saturday night. The victim pursued the suspect, leading to a swift response from nearby officers. Together, they successfully captured the suspect, who was then taken into custody at the Raiwaqa Police Station. Investigations into both cases are ongoing.
